About
Hi, I’m Amy— the face behind Triple 7 Designs. I was born in South Korea and adopted when I was 5 months old. I grew up in Central and Western New York, surrounded by a big family that I feel so fortunate to be a part of. Growing up, I did a little bit over everything— Showed horses, played sports, went to dance classes, performed in my school's musicals, chorus and band, and took tennis/golf lessons. I was THAT kid. I drew, colored and painted on everything I could find. My parents noticed my creative streak and really embraced it. Some of my earliest work was accepted and published into the Three Lakes Sampler; a local art show and book that features young artists & writers in CNY. After graduation, I served in the United States Air Force in an aircraft maintenance unit at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK. At the tail end of 2010, I laid down roots in Las Vegas, and my beautiful son was born in May of 2012. As an artist/creator/craftsman, I’ve never tied myself down to one specific medium. In 2013, I began my apprenticeship in borosilicate glass art at a local production shop. 2015 brought about change that resulted in building a private glass studio, where I’ve since had the privilege to work from home. I eventually made the shift back to acrylic and gouache painting, while teaching both glass and studio art classes to adults and children of all ages and skill levels. |

Both of my Grandmothers were talented sewers and taught me sewing, embroidery and knitting when I was just a kid. I lost my Grandma Mary in 2005 and my Grandma Anna in 2020. It wasn’t until after my Grandma Anna’s passing that I decided to get behind a machine again. |
Sewing has become my way of keeping the memories and love alive. That same love and care that my grandmothers showed and shared with me is carefully translated into everything I make. I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoy designing & creating them! |
